Sleep then Exercise 10/16/2011
I had a very busy week which involved doing massages until 11pm and so I had a nice long lie in on Saturday. I got to bed at 11pm and arose at 11am for a great 12hrs kip. I have always needed a lot of sleep and ideally need about 12 hrs to feel well rested. Saturday morning I did a 20 min medicine ball workout in the field near my home ...throwing the thing forwards,backwards and sideways...this is a fantastic workout for the glutes as you are constantly bending down and picking up the ball...and then had a hearty breakfast. I have just been to the gym,this being Sunday,and did 30 mins stretching followed by a 20 min workout on the cable pulley machine...reverse lunges with a pull x 10 reps supersetted with forward lunges with a push x 10 reps for 4 sets with 1 min rest between sets...following that I did 15 mins on the punch bag working on speed and skill rater than power. I am taking the whole of next week off and apart from doing a couple of massages I will be mostly chilling out,reading my new Doreen Virtue book Signs From Above,cycling and increasing my Chi Gong practice.
